When the unit is power on that both indicator light will on together but the red indicator light will illuminate for a few seconds which indicates the UVC bulb is now actively working, and the green light will stays on .
If the red indicator light keep stayed on that indicates the UVC tube is not working and needs to be replaced.
There is a safety switch installed at the side to prevent exposure to the UV during opening it or installation.
